The perfect starter tempeh – mild, versatile and an instant favourite in the kitchen.
Our chickpea tempeh has a mild, buttery flavour with a subtle, slightly mushroomy note. It absorbs marinades and aromas beautifully and works in almost any dish – from a quick pan-fry to a creative recipe.
Handcrafted in Hamburg, using chickpeas from German non-conventional farming – soy-free, gluten-free and free from additives.
Preparation: Cut into cubes or strips and fry in oil over medium heat until golden – don't blast it on full heat. Season to taste or deglaze with a splash of soy sauce. Also works great in the air fryer, oven or on the grill.

Storage & shelf life: Store at 2–7°C. Consume within 3 days of opening. Best before: 60 days from production, see packaging. Gently pasteurised. Free from preservatives. Can be frozen – flavour remains intact.
Dark spots are the natural spores of the mould, occur as part of the ripening process and are completely harmless.
