Refund policy

Returns & Right of Withdrawal
No right of withdrawal for perishable food products.
As our tempeh is a perishable food item, returns or cancellations are unfortunately excluded in accordance with § 312g (2) No. 2 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

This means: once you have received your tempeh, it cannot be returned unless it is defective or faulty.
Shelf-stable food products (e.g. unopened, non-refrigerated items) may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided that:

  • the product is unopened, undamaged, and in its original packaging, and

  • you can provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

The return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
To request a return, please contact us in advance at hello@lazybean.de. We will then inform you whether a return is possible and how to proceed. Please do not send any items back without contacting us first — unannounced returns cannot be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If your tempeh arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, contact us right away at hello@lazybean.de — we’ll take care of it as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally excluded from returns or exchanges:

  • Fresh or refrigerated tempeh

  • Perishable food items

  • Opened or damaged products

  • Personalized or made-to-order items

  • Sale items and digital gift cards

Refunds
Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be issued within 10 business days using the original payment method. Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.
