Refund policy
Returns & Withdrawal
No right of withdrawal for perishable goods.
As tempeh is a perishable food product, returns and withdrawals are excluded in accordance with § 312g para. 2 no. 2 of the German Civil Code (BGB). After receiving your tempeh, it cannot be returned unless there is a defect or error.
Non-perishable products (soy sauce, hot sauce, koji rice, AL-Gomasio) can be returned within 14 days, provided they are unopened, undamaged and in their original packaging, and you can provide proof of purchase. Returns of opened products are excluded for hygiene reasons.
All other non-refrigerated products (e.g. merchandise) can also be returned within 14 days, provided they are unopened and undamaged.
Return shipping costs are to be borne by the buyer. To initiate a return, please contact us in advance at hello@lazybean.de. We will then let you know whether a return is possible and how to send the product back. Please do not send any items back without contacting us first – such returns cannot be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your delivery immediately upon receipt. If a product is damaged or an incorrect item has been delivered, please contact us immediately at hello@lazybean.de – we will take care of it as quickly as possible!
Non-returnable items
The following items are generally excluded from exchange or return:
- Fresh or refrigerated tempeh
- Opened food products (soy sauce, hot sauce, koji rice, AL-Gomasio)
- Opened or damaged products
- Personalised or made-to-order items
- Sale items and digital vouchers

Refunds
Once we have received and inspected a returnable item, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time. If you have not received your refund after more than 15 business days, please contact us at hello@lazybean.de.
Product Conformity
Statutory warranty rights apply in accordance with § 434 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB) as well as the provisions of EU Directive 2019/771 on contracts for the sale of goods. Should a delivered product not conform to the agreed description, quality or quantity, you have the right to remedy, replacement or – if this is not possible – a refund. Please contact us immediately at hello@lazybean.de in such cases.
